I Belong Here by Tavares Strachan. Neon installation, 10’ x 12’, just recently embarked on its world tour.
In the alienation of exile, painter Ah  Xian found a degree of solace in historical  Chinese traditions. He began porcelain casting to explore the  central and ongoing theme of the human body in his practice. By making his reinterpretations of classical designs resemble tattoos, Ah  Xian addresses the indelibility of one’s cultural  background.
